Gardens and Frogs



One of our homeschool projects this year was to create a natural frog habitat--right in our yard. The kids and I got native plants-a cattail, water iris, and three others whose names escape me right now. After creating the habitat we tromped through the woods to a pond at Auntie Charity's house where we found toad spawn. We took two buckets home and placed the spawn gently into our pond. The eggs have since hatched and tadpoles are alive and well. We check them daily for changes....
