Jaden turns six years old today. I cannot believe how the time has flown. It truly seems like just yesterday he was the drooly, squirmy little baby. He is such a big boy now...I thought I would take this birthday opportunity to write about my Jaden.
Jaden is the laughter in our house. Brian and I seek out movies, games, jokes --anything to make him laugh. He has the best laugh. An infectious, deep down belly laugh that invites you to join in. He is also our prankster and loves to play jokes and be absolutely silly.
He is also responsible for doling out some of the best one liners in our family history....
While playing at the toy library (which is also a church) Jaden, looking at the cross on the wall which had a purple cloth slung across it, asks "Is that the cross that Jesus died on?" yes Jaden, I said. "Well mom he left his jacket..."
J: Darth Vader isn't real he is just a man in a costume.
me: yup
J: God is real.
me: yup
J: Jesus is just a man in a costume.
He does have his serious moments--like when he plays xbox with Uncle Kevin, minecraft with his cousins, or Halo lego battles with Gabe or nerf wars with daddy. His favorite activities are frog catching (which we are doing today per his request) and catching bugs. He loves to swim and is a great swimmer. He is gentle and sensitive often being the one to want alone snuggle time and the first one to get his feelings hurt. He loves to be with his friends, he is the social butterfly. He likes to shop with me and when he does his tastes are wild and colorful. He is very creative and I love the way he sees the world...his perspective is always interesting.
His current fashion hero is Mr. T. He asked daddy to cut his hair spikey and wears his gold necklace everyday. He is slowly mastering saying "I pity the fool" in his best Mr. T impression.
When Jaden grows up he wants to travel to Africa to see and capture an African bullfrog then to Australia with Gabe to catch the biggest earthworm.
We are so thankful for Jaden--he is such a blessing of love, laughs and fun. We love you Jaden!
