Finally...

we are back to enjoying Winter. Some bad bouts with stomach bug followed up with the fever/congestion nastiness that was floating around put us out of commission for the last month. Then the incredibly freezing temperatures chased us into hiding in warm corners. But today we are BACK. We got powder sugar snow last night--and this morning the sun was shining with NO WIND (therefore 20 degrees felt warm) so this meant of course that the woods were calling my soul. We ditched school. We bundled up and headed out the door to Mt. Apatite. We were the only ones there and it was perfect and beautiful and my heart sang celebrating winter. Anyway this was our morning hike--

Ben is such a trooper he walked most of the way up the "mountain"
snow boots and all. That's some hard trucking for little two year old legs.

I have probably posted about these before but they are always different and so amazing. These giant icicles are just really cool. The colors and designs are always a wonderful artistic treat.
